TIMELINE OF THE GALILEE CALL COMMITTEE
October 2024:
Council invited congregation members to receive nomination as a slate for the Galilee Call Committee members. Congregation nominees provided a statement of interest for election to the Call Committee.
November 2024:
Call Committee Nominees: Joyce Solberg, Karita Weinke, Sandy Biermeier, Miriam Peterson, Abe Watson,
Sandy Altendorfer, Jim Zrust and CarolAnn Hart. All nominees were elected.
December 4, 2024:
Call Committee's first official meeting.
Sunday Adult Faith Formation Forums included these discussions/presentations hosted by
Galilee Call Committee members:
Dec. 15 - table fellowship conversation;
Dec. 29 - table fellowship conversation;
Jan. 5 - your life at Galilee completing wall timeline;
Jan. 12 - Pastor Tori Krause Roseville Lutheran interpreting wall timeline;
Jan. 26 - Call Committee summarizing completed steps of the Ministry Site Profile (MSP)
Feb. 9 - Gloria Johnson, Galilee charter member, in an interview on memory and forgiveness
in congregational ministry.
The Galilee Call Committee has spent much time discerning and choosing, with clarity and specificity, responses based on your December 15th & 29th input and actual ministry practices.

In June a survey was given to the congregation to see what preferences they had for the new pastor. Call Committee also handed out to the congregation the seven reflective questions for them to fill out and submit back to the Call Committee. The Call Committee then reviewed each of the 7 questions and filled out the form accordingly.
July 14th Deacon Krista Lind from the synod attended our Call Committee meeting to discuss what is next and answer any of our questions.
Galilee council was given a completed copy of the Ministry Site Profile to review and approve. Approval was given by the council members by Saturday July 19th.
July 27th the Ministry Site Profile was given to the Galilee congregation for review and for us to answer any of their questions. The Call Committee officially submitted the Ministry Site Profile to the St. Paul Area Synod on Sunday July 27th.
We are awaiting approval of our Ministry Site Profile by the synod. Once approved they will put it on their website and vet any pastoral candidate before passing the names on to us to contact and conduct interviews.
August 12th our Ministry Site Profile was approved by the synod.
We are currently in the process of determining interview questions and doing practice interviews.

On September 15th Jim Zrust contacted Joyce Solberg to let her know that he would be resigning from the Call Committee.
