Prayer Requests
You are invited to complete the prayer request cards that are found in the kiosk in the narthex, near the back of the sanctuary. The cards are a way for you to communicate with the Pastoral staff, as well as the prayer chain about concerns or blessings that you would like to have lifted up in prayer. Hospital Visitation
If you are hospitalized and would like a visit from a pastor or a member of our Healing Touch ministry, please contact the church office and let us know, office.galilee@gmail.com During your time of illness we want you to be assured of God’s love and know that we care about you. Hospitals do not release patient information to churches. So please contact us and let us know if you would like a visit.
Prayers for Healing
Every first Sunday of the month at 9:00 a.m. Galilee offers prayers for healing. Beginning at 9:00, before the sanctuary becomes filled with people for worship at 9:30, anyone is welcome to come in to receive God’s blessing, help, comfort and hope through prayer. Someone is waiting to pray for you and your needs. When you enter the sanctuary if you look toward the left corner, you see one or two women sitting and waiting, with an empty chair by them. They are waiting to pray for you. You can request prayers for yourself or for others who you want to lift up to God in prayer for healing and wholeness. Galilee is blessed to have two Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry practitioners as well as two retired registered nurses who are on our healing and wellness team. “Prayers for Healing” is confidential and is skilled at listening and being a caring presence for all who come seeking God’s healing.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Galilee’s Prayer Shawl Ministry creates beautiful shawls made by members of Galilee as a gift of love to the recipient. The shawl is meant to symbolize the love and embrace of God. Each shawl has been lovingly made and prayed over and those who receive the shawls continue to be held in prayer.
Where do the shawls go?
The Prayer Shawl Ministry team supports Galilee ministries and mission groups. They are given away by the pastors, church staff, and members of the congregation to members of our congregation, community, families and friends living here and abroad. They are hand delivered, mailed, and sent along with mission trip participants.
How does the ministry work?
A number of shawl makers knit and crochet the shawls. Once completed, the shawl is brought to the Galilee office or to one of our meetings. Then it is tagged with the maker’s name.
