ALTAR GUILD

The purpose of the altar guild is to help create an atmosphere that reflects the mood of the various seasons of the church year as well as enhances the celebration of the special festival days such as Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost.  This is done through the color of the paraments on the altar, the banners that hang on the wall, and other items unique to special times of the year.

We also set up the communion service that allows us to celebrate this ritual that is the center of our worship service.

We do this to support, enhance, and deepen the worship service and the connection of the congregation both to each other and to our Father in heaven.
